Travelling on board the recently refurbished Sea Spirit, this exceptional voyage explores South Georgia for an unprecedented 6 days.
Departing 20th October 2017, the Best of the Southern Ocean voyage is perfectly suited for those who have previously travelled to Antarctica and wish to explore South Georgia, as well as for wildlife and photography enthusiasts alike. South Georgia is a wildlife Mecca on a grand scale.
Ideally timed to arrive in South Georgia before the breeding cycles of the Elephant seals begins, allows access to numerous landing sites before they become restricted. We hope to visit the nesting islands of the Wandering Albatross and will land at sites where Elephant seals rule and King penguin rookeries number in the hundreds of thousands. We’ll also take in the history of South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. This time of year is perfect for photographers, as the sun is still low in the sky, creating beautiful twilight hues.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure your berth or cabin on the newly refurbished Sea Spirit, one of iExpedition’s highly recommended luxury expedition vessels. These are the last berths and cabins available and promotions are subject to availability at the time of booking.
